If you don't want to rent a car for your vacation, you can always take an Uber, shuttle or a ride to get to Pearl Harbor.

Here are six easy ways to get from Waikiki to Pearl Harbor! Each of these methods is hassle-free, and each has its own advantages and disadvantages.

You should head towards Honolulu to I-H-1 West. Once on the freeway, turn left at the I-H-201 W fork. Continue left until you reach the Stadium/Aiea exit. From there, continue on Kam Highway until you turn right at Arizona Memorial Pl.

Pearl Harbor & The Bishop Museum

This trail is more of a back road from Waikiki to Pearl Harbor. Sometimes it takes a bit longer, but if the main road has a lot of traffic, you can have a shorter route using this method!

Start towards HI-92. Stay on this highway for about 5 miles until you merge onto I-H-1 West. Stay on the Airport/Pearl Harbor/Joint Base PHH lane until you reach exit 15a. This will take you to H-99 West, where you will stay until you turn left onto Arizona Memorial Pl.

It is probably best to use a GPS if you have a car. The GPS informs you about accidents and traffic and finds the fastest route for you.

Taking the Waikiki bus to Pearl Harbor is another great option if you don't want to drive yourself there. There are a few shuttles from Waikiki to Pearl Harbor to choose from.

Be sure to check with your hotel if they offer a shuttle from Waikiki to Pearl Harbor, as many of them offer discounted shuttles.

There is a Pearl Harbor shuttle service that picks up from Waikiki and is a round trip service. Shuttle buses offer more flexibility in visiting this tourist attraction than a tour or bus tour.

There are a few other ways to get to and from Waikiki and get you to your destination. You can easily take an Uber from Waikiki to Pearl Harbor. It also takes about 30 minutes. An Uber is a great option, which is slightly cheaper than a taxi at around $30-40 depending on where you are.

You can also take a Lyft, but they are usually more expensive than an Uber. The great thing about Lyft or Uber is that you can download the app and see the prices for certain times of the day to find out how much it will cost.

Pearl Harbor Tours Review

Taking the bus to Pearl Harbor is the cheapest form of transportation you will find. A one-way ticket is only $2.50! You have to be careful to catch the bus on time when you take the bus from Waikiki to Pearl Harbor. Despite being the cheapest option, it has the biggest drawbacks.

There are a few bus stops in Waikiki, but Kuhio Ave + Lewer's Street is the most common. You must look for the nearest bus stop to your accommodation.

From there, go to The Bus website and see when the bus will arrive at your stop. Once you board the bus, it takes just over an hour to reach Pearl Harbor.

The bus usually does not run according to the timetable. Sometimes you wait 10-15 minutes longer, while sometimes it's a few minutes early. If you don't want to wait with an unpredictable schedule, try alternative transportation to get to Pearl Harbor.

But if you're traveling to Hawaii on a budget, this is a great option; you just have to be more flexible.

Waikiki to Pearl Harbor by taxi is usually more expensive than the other options. It costs between $45 and $70. However, you don't have to worry about following the instructions and you can leave at your own time.

Charley's Taxi will take you to or from Waikiki to Pearl Harbor for only $45. Taxis are a good option if you don't want to be traveling with many other people or waiting for a specific shuttle bus to come and go. With a taxi, you can choose the time you want to go and travel.
